Post website planning
Here's the things I try to keep in mind when I am working on a website:

1. Navigation and Usability
2. Design
3. Content
4. Accessibility - this is the hardest part to me
5. SEO

Let me know of anything you think I should add to this list...

anyway, what are your planning methods?

Hmm... I think:

1. Content (der.. isn't that why they come to your site?)
2. Design (how the nav / layout looks and is set up)
3. SEO and all that promotion stuff etc etc, where you get your hits from

In all honesty, to have a successful website, the number one thing in my opinion is traffic. Lots of traffic, means lots of members or lots of revenue or whatever you are shooting for Cool

Good content brings members. Bad content with "lots of traffic" means that they will only visit your site once.

True, traffic without content is nothing.

Yeah, I guess it can be easy enough to get someone to look at what you have, but catching their interest is even more important.

Content is king. Without content, a website with pretty pictures gets boring real fast. People want to think. Thatís why blogging is so popular. It has an idea base.

I'd prolly put design over content, but it only applies to myself lol. The first thng I do when I get to a website is to make sure I can do every technique they can do. Just by seeing how well the website is done makes be decide whether its filled with noobs who don't know how to use photoshop or experts. Then again that also only applies to graphics websites... So I'd have to say content and navigation. I hate sites where you have no idea how to get back to something that was cool. I mean you can offer 100$ free give aways every day and if the navigation stinks people will stop trying to fiddle with it.
